Dogs in Deutschland: Millie goes to a World Cup Match

Last Saturday, David and I went to our local beer garden to watch the Germany vs. Argentina game.  We are trying to socialize our dogs, so we decided to take Millie with us.  Emma has no tolerance for loud noises so she was left at home.

The game was very eventful and Germany ended up winning 4:0.  Millie thoroughly enjoyed the game.  She loves to be around people so she was quite happy.  The only thing that really upset her was all the noise whenever Germany scored. Fortunately, she was NOT in the beer garden during 2 of the 4 goals.  She handed 1 of the 2 goals quite well, but got kind of upset after the 3 goal because the crowd got too rowdy.

Millie and I at the start of the game. We stood in the back because we got there late.

Look at all the people!

Mommy!  Pay attention to me please!

 Under the chair.

Crowd shot after Germany scored the second goal.
Nap time on David's foot.

We even had dog treats that were the color of the Germany flag.

Beer for the man and Georgia Peach lemonade for me!
Don't worry Mom, we had a water bowl for Millie, too!

Octopus Paul predicts the outcome of all Germany World Cup games

Here in Germany, Octopus Paul is a wanted sea creature.  Since predicting the the downfall of Germany to Spain in Wednesday's World Cup Semi-Final match, this poor octopus is wanted for dead by many avid Germany soccer fans that are angry about the outcome of the game.  Spain has offered asylum to the poor creature in a Spanish zoo.  I  for one, am wondering why on earth anyone actually cares about an octopus that is just lucky when it comes to predicting the outcome of soccer matches. Why did someone as the octopus to begin with? Who thought of that?  Read the article here for more info.  Now, i turn the keyboard over to my husband for his thoughts on the the whole ordeal:

Dogs in Deutschland: How Emma and Millie deal with no AC

Finally figured out how to get the photos off my camera.  I'm not technology incompetent, just lacking proper cables....

For your enjoyment, a few photos of my little dogs trying to deal with the heat wave here. (Read 85+ degrees and no A.C. )

How Millie used to spend her days.

Now, forget the dog bed...too hot! Hanging out in the crate is way better!

Take me outside or go away!

Did you say "outside"?

Much better!
